The sink area crack, which is a separate piece from the bar area, is the
worse, but the other cracks are much longer and you can feel them if you run
your finger along them. I expect my fabricator is going to want to try and
repair these, but at only five months I cannot believe this is happening.
Is this normal? Can they be fixed? Would I be out of line to request a
complete redo of the job, or at a minimum a partial refund and lifetime
warranty if they won't replace the slabs? I have recently been told by
another granite company that they would not install my stone, Barracuda
Blue, without getting a dislcaimer because it naturally contains more
fissures than other stones and is probably not the best choice for a
kitchen. Is this true, that Barracuda Blue is just going to be prone to
these types of problems? My fabricator said it would be fine. Any
advice/guidance is MUCH appreciated.
Thanks.
