My husband and I love the look of multicolor slate - found at home depot or lowes readily. We have a dog and are concerned that it will scratch to dickens! Any advice on dog nails & slate? We have heard a porcelain tile is best but had are heart set on slate. Do not want to make an expensive mistake. Any advice would be so appreciated. Thank you in advance for your answer.
