pietra de cardosa vs soapstone vs something else?

I am thinking about installing Pietra de Cardosa (or cardoza) stone or soapstone on my kitchen countertops, and have been finding mixed information on the internet. Is one more highly durable, nonstaining, nonscratching and maintenance free than the other?  Is there another product that haas this look that is even more durable than either?
Thanks

As an Express Home Services expert i will say Marble is durable, beautiful and exceptionally versatile. It is more difficult to maintain, expensive in most cases and is harder to keep ever green because it requires regular care and maintenance.
