Fabricated vs. prefabricated

    I heard from some fabricators that prefab granite is cheaper, lower quality than fabricated. But, whether slab or prefab counter top, doesn't depend where and how the granite is processed in the first place. I live near China and plan on importing granite from there, I am looking at SGS certified vendors. Anything I should be wary of? Some of the articles I have read on this forum, is that China is either 1 or 2nd in processing granite. Is this true?
