Do I need to get it rehoned/polished?

Hi,

last year I had my bathroom counter done in beige travertine, nobody informed me of how to clean it and unfortunately my roomate cleaned it with some kind of cleaner (possibly 409) that left a haze on it,looks spotty,like water patches and feels rough or like there is a residue in some areas. Is this etching? Or could it be that the sealant is damaged. You can see it well in day light but not with room lights. Do  I need to get it rehoned/polished?
