Can green slate chalkboard be cut by a table saw.

Hi -

Can a green slate chalkboard be cut using a table saw?  Will the
slate break apart and will i end up with a ragged edge?  Is there a
recommended way to cut a slate chalkboard?  Thanks for any information.
