I have an antique gold ring, from my grandmother, and I lost the stone. It was black to look at but in the sun it turned a glowing tan color. I am trying to identify the stone. Gram said it was just costume jewelry. It was a cabushon cut ring, oval and the underside was cut almost flat, but with cleavage (like the way slate breaks). All the black stones I have been finding online do not have glowing quality my grams ring had. Can anyone help me? Linda in NNY
