granite, travertine

Hi all.

A few questions:

1. I recently installed imperial brown granite in the kitchen countertops. How do I seal it and take care of it in the future?

2. I also installed travertine on the lower level (I think it's Ivory Classico). The painter didn't cover the whole floor so now there's water based paint on the travertine floor, and I didn't even seal it yet. So, first how do I get the paint off travertine without damaging the travertine? And second what's the best way/product to seal travertine and take care of it in the future?
