Are we still taking a big chance on the durability

Hi,

We are building a new house and are in the process of selecting floors for
the bathrooms.  For one we are thinking of using Ann Sacks suede limestone.
And for another, a dark slate.

I know we are supposed to seal it and clean it with ph neutral products.
But are we still taking a big chance on the durability of the floors?
